Job Purpose:
To Increase overall enrollment into Free, local and national HSD Service Provider Directory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build quality service provider relationship in a professional, friendly, timely manner.
- Explains the Overall mission and Free directory service of HSD and answers any questions from the service provider.
- Strategically plans, identifies and implements the Empowering Services of HSD to the service provider business needs at the appropriate/optimal time.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of products and services and uses this knowledge to maximize sales and optimize the level of customer service provided.
- Obtains e-mails, names and telephone numbers of potential service providers from sources such as HSD service provider directory, telephone directories, magazine reply cards, and lists purchased from other organizations.
- Identifies the need to practices and grow in selling techniques to drive overall local and national enrollment into Free Service Directory.
- Delivers the prepared sales talk, reading from scripts that describe the products and/or services of HSD, in order to educate the potential service provider the need to purchase a business empowering product or service.
Preferred Background:
- A track record of success (at least $45K plus earnings per year) in selling to business.
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred. High school diploma required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- High levels of personal drive and determination required for driving sales and business development, and the willingness to put in the time and effort required to reap the rewards available
- A positive, resilient and can-do approach
- Strong, refined relationship-based selling skills, with demonstrated customer service orientation
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and be resourceful, including ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Ability to work independently, but also work as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize work within a multi-tasking and fast paced environment
- Ability to learn new procedures, use a PC, process POS transactions, and be comfortable with new tools and technology
